Nuclear War with Iran if Obama loses?

We'd be the ones to drop the first bomb, or at least support an Israeli attack. I don't think we're stupid enough to launch a nuclear attack, however, no matter who is in office. I'm sure the upper military officers aren't all war hawks and someone would point out the idiocy of nuking Iran.

Seems to me that conflict is inevitable within the decade, with only the date and participants to be decided.

People keep saying that about our government. Well, look at OPEN, PIPA, SOPA, and the Patriot Expansion Act. SOPA and PIPA were FORCED to be dropped, and no one's really protesting OPEN.

As stated before, we would have to be the first ones to drop the bomb. Personally I think Iran knows that they wouldn't be able to rise up against us. We are well into our years of Nuclear Technology and they are just starting. Who has the upper hand? Also, if things go right, we would have a nuclear treaty with Iran until around 2025. Other countries are 2024. Maybe we won't have a war if we get these treaties because we jump on these things really quick when we see nuclear weapons being built lol.

Good news: no big time war is to be made.
Wanna know why?
Look: US is in financial crisis. Big time. What does it need to recover? Financial strength. How does that happen? Countries from the EU with economy problems (Greece, portugal) join the dollar "for a short while". Now I may see it all from my view, but US is aiming for Greece.
Mainly because: US pretty much owns Turkey, Albania, Bulgaria. That leaves Greece to cut off Russia from the Meditteranean.
Now, there has been mentioned an oil drill in Greece in 2013. That ofcourse would only happen when the US tells us to do so. So now the time is almost there...
Greece has got an estimated 10 thrillion worth of natural resources ( in €) within the agean alone.
So you get the main idea.
But then again, US has had it's turn. The new superpower is going to be China.

If there is a strategic nuclear strike against iran, it will result in Iran going nuts and trying to retaliate with its large military. The result will be several more nuclear strikes until Iran has no choice but to comply - when several hundred thousand citizens are dead in the space of a day, they will be subdued.

US may supply others in wars, but only for their benefit (duh) and not to their enemies (DUHHHH)

Do you mean that Iran is the US Government's second largest arms consumer? With the sanctions and embargo we have on Iran, I seriously doubt that the US government is selling weaponry to Iran. Maybe Iran's second largest supplier of weaponry is located in the U.S (meaning a private arms dealer or, more likely, a network of smugglers.) or (most likely) Iran receives weaponry from Russia that the Russians bought from the U.S.

Anyway, Israel is vulnerable to Iranian ICBMs (U.N evidence shows Iran is testing them) capable of carrying a nuclear warhead. All that stands between Iran and a radioactive Israel is the development of that nuclear warhead, and Israel sure as hell isn't going to wait until the missile is launched to attack. I think the U.S, U.N, and the rest of the international community aren't going to play a role in what transpires between Israel and Iran. One is ruled with fanatic bloodlust while the other has grown trigger-happy over decades of constant conflict over its very existence.
