Sex Change

Postby Emo_Kid » 17 May 2011, 16:01

Where do you stand on the matter of people getting sex changes?
Do you feel it is a sad thing, or can it be turned into something good?

It's not a sad thing. The sad thing is when people are stopped from going ahead with the procedure. These people need the change. They were born with a body that is incompatible with their mind.

The sad part is when they have it done and everyone says you look terrible, and you're a freak, and you just couldn't be happy with the way you were born could you? It gets to you.. then it's too late to change yourself back because you will never be the same.

agreed. i think ppl shouldn't. this is a wuote from ME so I own it, that inspires most of my friends.
"Everyone is dealt cards, in their lives, and they are supose to use them in life. Don't complain about the cards your oponent was dealt with, instead, find the strength in your cards!"

So ppl should deal with what they've been givin, and live life!

Amy speaking here:

I know quite a few people who consider themselves "transgender" (e.g. FEMALE but WANTING to be a man) who would benefit from a sex change.

It's not just wanting to be the other gender, it's a mental condition that has other tags with it, eg. depression, anxiety, even agoraphobia because they really don't feel like their body's gender.

If they can fund the change themselves, that's their choice.

But if they are depressed, suicidal even then I believe sex change is simply a type of treatment - and the overal cost is often the same as other therapy choices.

However, there was news about prisoners being provided free make up, hormonal treatment and padded bras. I don't agree with that - if you commit a crime, don't expect to have more rights than those who are innocent.

Have you ever been asked if u had a sex change? I was asked that not to long ago. Some new kid named Cody joined my History class, and we became close friends and he was like "I can't say I've ever seen a person look quite like you, though if you don't mind my asking, have you ever had a sex change?" I could have slapped him, oh boy I wanted to slap him! There is nothing wrong with being a girl, and sitting like a guy, shopping at guys stores, skateboarding and acting like a tom-boy! -.-

Anyways, one thing I don't like about people who get sex changes is some of them come out looking absolutely gorgeous when they are done, but still, for me..its just the thought of knowing that like..its a girl at heart, that changed themself to a guy..so u still see them as a girl, even though they changed
