Well some people look out for you, these people are called moderators and admins. If someone is telling you not to share personal info and they are not green or orange, they only want you to be safe.
Hmmmm, monkeys chew bananas while we're asleep? I chew on crisps when my mum is asleep. Does that make me bad? ;O

And would you hand all of these over to a complete stranger?
The simple answer is no - you wouldn't. But you'd talk to friends online, wouldn't you?
Sharing out your online profile is the same as doing these things. Giving people your facebook, myspace, or other profiles online is the same as handing out all these things to a stranger. Without even posting your address, it is not hard to find you through your profile. People can pretend they are your age when really, they want to do nasty things to you. Would you give photos of yourself to an old man on the street? How about sending your picture to someone online?
It's the same thing.
Stay safe online and report any problems to one of our Moderators - however big or small.
..And this is exactly why someone started that stupid post a picture thread? XD

Amen, You know.....Kids today don't know the danger of lurking on the internet. A kid right now is looking up funny Cat pictures, When the safety lock isn't on and what do you get?......
Facebook isn't bad...... You can always puts your Fb on private and not give too much detail. It also depend on who you add. A friend or a random person.

there lies the problem. People are too stupid to hide their details and facebook does nothing about it - it encourages people to add more about themselves!
put too much on, and someone could find out where you live, or even steal your identity.

More of a problem there,People want more likes on their status and other bs so they will choose not to make it private, and even if it is private, who says one of your close "Friends" can't Post that Information out...
