Maturing?

So after a heart to heart with one of my good friends she said something that really stuck to me and bothered me a bit so I wanted to see what you guys thought.
We talked about how we would often play games together and now we hardly ever consider even offering to show a new video game, her reason was that now she had a full time job and needed to mature. She said you can't be adult like, and still do childish things, because if you aren't careful it will still show that you havent quite matured. So in order to be an adult you had to change and get involved in adult things, instead of wasting time with kiddish antics. But this isnt something that I believe and part of me wonders if the reason I'm still arguing with myself is because, to put it simply, I want to rationalize my wants, Like a child.
Your thoughts?
