So.. I used to be freaked out about this information, but thanks to a few friends.. I realized this 2012 is about half as stupid as back in 2000 when they predicted on New Years that all internet/power sources would shut down.
The fact that the Mayans left out leap year is an indication of the world supposed to have ended 6 months ago.
Plus, I guess there was a meteor shower like..last Tuesday ( I missed it) And now theres an upcoming one? Again? Hardly not. I also don't believe in the "We're going to have 3 total days of darkness and no power at all" thing.
Apparently the people who discovered the table of the Mayans is missing an extra link.
I'm a little skeptical towards the movie 2012 Though. I never watched it, But I guess in the movie people drown and that's how we all die (or most) ..and the fact that here in Dump-Town Pennsylvania, we're getting nothing but straight rain all week is just a little freaky. :P
AND FYI- No Such thing as Zombies (Hopefully nothing hits my window tonight) But I guess when a meteor this weekend hits the earth (According to my friend Trevor) "The Zombies will jump off the meteor and come in and invade the earth and kill us all." .. Uhm.. ? XD
Well, We will have to see what goes down.
According to my Algebra subsitute (Mr. Bartos) The world should have ended like 5 or 6 times since he's been alive.. didn't happen. So what makes this time special?
If the world does end for god knows what reasons or whatever, I love all my little FWG-ers. :) Stay safe & if you die.. Rest easy <3

The Mayas didn't predict the end of the world on 12-21-12. They predicted a change into a new Era, like the Stone Age, Iron Age, Diamond Age, etc. They predicted a new change in the way humans live.

And, we are changing into high technology, so i guess they were somewhat right. So many gadgets and what not.

They didn't predict the end of the world, they predicted a change into a new Era of humanity.

To be honest, they had to stop SOME time. They probably just thought 'Why are we still going? We've done 4000 years already.'

Also, they didn't include leapyears, so it would've been years ago.

we have to be honest about this, we're ALL DOOMED. 24 hours to go! I recommend spending the last quality hours with a fwger in the chatbox. What better way to meet your maker than with those you love around you.

Hey, the Mayans actually although they failed at calendars actually DID predict the exact day there would be some planetary lineup.
And they have nothing at ALL to do with the end of the world.
Plus, there's a second calendar going up to 8012 when there is predicted to be another lineup, I believe.

Well, we'll find out soon enough.

But no chance of meteor for crying out loud, we'd know of it since the 90's.

Unless it travels through a wormhole and appears suddenly.... Nah. Star trek much.

The planets align every 200 years or so.

Also, it ends for Frook before it ends for us.

doomsday has been predicted to happen numerous times throughout human history. I think it is something biological within us that produces these thoughts of impending doom.
