OK, sooo, billions of dollars have been spent and wasted over numerous months for this years US elections. This insanity must STOP

I propose the 3 point plan:

1. a complete ban on ALL television political ads
2. everyone has a maximum budget of only $10 million (donate the billions to charities that need the damn money)
3. campaigning is limited to a maximum of 1-2 months before the election happens.

if this is done, then it puts everyone on an equal footing, people arent spammed with retarded ad campaigns for months, and money will NOT buy the presidency.

your thoughts on this?

i think ads are fine, as long as theyre not attack ads

I've also decided major parties cant run for president in consecutive elections.

3 things:
1) All watch tv, so tv ads are quite the influential thingy.
And if they work like other ads that plant a product in your head until you go and buy it...
2) Like the great channels would agree losing some billions.
3) Let me ask you this: who chooses the potential presidents?
eg. How come romney was obama's political opponent and not anyone else from his party?

In America, how the Democratic Party and the Republican Party elect their nominee, is that they have a general election. They choose, from a select number of people who want to become the nominee of their party will run. People in the party will vote on who they think is best to represent their party. This is called, the General Election. After the General Election, each party, Democratic and Republican put their elected nominee as candidate for running for President.

Then, by November, one of the candidates will win.

So, there were no other opponents of Obama from the Republican Party besides Romney and Ryan. Vice versa with the Democratic Party and Romney.

So basically, you dont choose the potential presidents, the parties do.

No...the people in the parties choose.

Each party, government leaders as well as members of the Party vote in the General Election to see who in the Candidate. So, if my father is a Democrat, and in 2016, there's the General Elections, he would vote for Hilary Clinton in the Democrat General Election(who, is running in 2016) since he wants Hilary Clinton to represent the Democratic Party.

Not just the leader in the parties, THE WHOLE PARTY votes. I thought I was clear with me saying, "People in the party will vote on who they think is best to represent their party."

Well Shadow, I don't know how much the political party should be responsible for talking about every single candidate. I believe that it should be up to the individual voter to look up information.
