Our science and technology is growing very rapidly...Can our world handle such technology as of right now? They are working on teleporting, flying cars, etc etc...Can our society adapt as quickly as possible for a better earth? And an "easier to live on" earth?

Society will adapt to changes. However, many will struggle with it, as the pace of change is accelerating all the time. It's hard enough keeping up with the pace of things now, it will only get more complicated later on. I prefer the good old days when things moved at a more leisurely pace.

If we are to survive,I feel that technology needs to move at an even faster pace.
Most of us are only seeing the small image, basically by saying that the games' -used technology (3D graphics etc) is the best technology we've come up to so far.
In case you don't know, hybrid cars are being advanced (way more environment-friendly),
Teleportation is impossible at this point as one's brain would most likely explode after being teleported,as they'd travel with the speed of light, but there IS an aircraft moving at 20 times the speed of sound,in other words it can travel to any point in the world in less than half an hour.
Also,for the shocker:
Mars will be able for inhabitation by the start of the next century most likely,as there has already been stated that it possesses over than 200000 (!?) square miles of water, frozen. In other words,if we get to mars, build some kind of a station there then plant hundreds of trees (protected by the temperature ofcourse) the temperature would rise to 0° C in about a century, temperature able for water to melt and humans to live by.

That's all :D

My question and point. Why the heck do we need that? Seriously. Why would you even want a flying car? You'll still travel the same distance. And teleportation? Are you kidding me? It's just because our society is becoming more and more lazy and don't want to have to walk and drive everywhere. It's a joke, really. And I doubt the future is as good as everyone thinks it will be.

1)Correct,but you'll avoid traffic jams
2) correct, they'll sure cause heart attacks to the elderly (if not worse) but they'll really help if you wanted to go to the other side of the world or even in a different one (moon, mars etc)

It's called an Airplane, or a rocket. :/
And flying isnt going to help. If a car is in the air I'm sure there will be accidents.

teleportation will be awesome. They've already teleported an electron over a meter or something like that. I'd love it if we can go to paris for lunch, have dinner in NY and then return home for bed. No need for jets or any other crap to travel long distances.

If we perfect teleportation we will be able to create clones, what does that mean?
It means more lambs.

well, there is a problem with teleportation...Due to the Uncertainty Principal, you can't tell the position of an electron which in-turn means you can't tell the position of an atom...In the process of teleportation..an atom can move and say your thumb...it can wind up on mars >.>
