Additionally, "modesty" in the US has pretty much caused the oversexualization of women. It doesn't, however, mean that ALL males sexualize women.
Furthermore, You can't simply undo about a thousand years of women being second class citizens in less than a tenth of that time. Let time do its work.
Furthermore,
Women need to also not play the victim card, not saying all women do, just saying that it happens. Same as black people need to stop playing the "you racist!" card. Not saying all do, nothing against black people. Just saying it happens.
Both of these "victim" cards make all other progress made look laughable.
It even makes Racism and Misogyny look like a joke.
You can undo the wrongs of sexist society in shorter times than you think, i mean, look at Indonesia, Singapore, the Netherlands, the UK, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Iran's recent movement of gender equality, and India's too. Those two movements are making huge advancements. I do agree with you on when black people and women play the victim card, that needs to stop, but we need to create society where thats socially wrong. we need to raise the next generation to be decent human beings and one of the things we need to teach the youth is, don't be an asshole. Simple as that. And find guidance too, i guess. I have a friend from Indonesia in my school, his name is Iskandar (which is a hella rad name) and he moved here when he was 12 from Java and he told me he was raised Muslim and was raised to treat women with respect and equality and to never put them at false stereotpyes like, oh ur a girl ur weak. he told me it says stricly in the Quran that women are equal to men, and are only submissive when playing hanky panky and he's always found it weird when he's heard sexist jokes in america and one day he told me America was kind of backward because of it and even know, 4 years later he's simply dumbfounded by it. i remember one time in middle school we had to play this game where you have these sticks and you hit eah other, there's rules obviously and he faced this girl who was really good so he obviously got beat and this one kid was like "haha, you got beat by a girl, loser!" and he was like, "yeah you're right i was. and yeah i did lose." and he was like "yeah, but by a girl!" and he was like, "yes, i know. we know. everyone knows. she is really good, i have to admit." and the guy was getting frustrated and said, "everyone knows girls are pussies and are weak!!1" and Iskandar was like "wha no. she just beat me i mean did you not see that?" the stereotype went right over his head. I'm not saying we should raise kids as moderate muslims just to have them believe in gender equality, but i'm saying we should raise the next generation to be good people and to not believe in stupid stereotypes and be racist, or ignorant, or homophobic, or religious-phobic or be stupid in anything really.

Good look. Regarding what you said about other countries with great movements with regards to women. Their changes ARE monumental from where they were before, HOWEVER, the United States made similar changes in the 1920s and hasn't really advanced any more than that. I venture to propose raising the children of the next generations with the mindset of respecting every individual they come in contact with, unless said individual does something to legitimately lose what respect they had. I personally have begun altering myself to more of this mindset, and its amazing the results. I've found myself talking to people I've never really spoken to before, communicating with girls on very good terms, and eliminating my former thoughts about all relationships being about coitus (although it IS a very valid point, but that is for a different debate). Tyvm for reading, I tend to blabber a lot.

So obviously my original post was considered a little to slanderous, so riddle me this. What is the goals of feminism? How does it achieve this goal? What will the benefit be for a thirty five year old single women? What 'can' happen if we implement these changes? I personally have begun altering myself to more of this mindset, and its amazing the results. I've found myself talking to people I've never really spoken to before, communicating with girls on very good terms, and eliminating my former thoughts about all relationships being about coitus (although it IS a very valid point, but that is for a different debate).

I was raised on that principle by my mom and dad, to respect people and no matter who they are, if they mess with you, insult you, are overall disrespectful to you, then they do not deserve your respect. Though, people of higher status do gain more respect from the start, simply because they've accomplished more in life as my mom put it, but they're just like anyone else if they fuck around (which is why i am not great terms on any of the assistant principles at my high school.) it's a great philosophy to live by. makes meeting people much easier and stuff like you said.

But simply, you are saying men discriminate against women. That's discrimination against men. Its the same as me saying that the percentage of colored people commuting crime in the US is greater than the percentage of the according white population. Even if there are statistics, its still discrimination.

Isn't that a little inaccurate? 50% of men aren't sexist. In fact, that's something that can't be measured, because people can lie.
vaguely present SKREEE SKREEEEEE SKREEEEEEEEE

Why is it both sexes do it but women only say men do it? :s nazis tsk
More you complain about non-sexist things as sexist and class it under feminism more you won't get supports to feminism and just call you nazis
