Its ridiculous really. . . If you're going to drive then drive, pay attention before you kill someone.
And yes, it is their fault, but how do you think the families of those who have lost a child or parent or whoever because of a cellphone driver feel? Some mistakes should never happen, killing someone because you were too busy loling your bff's comment about that cutie at the bar last night is one of those things.
I never said I didnt care, either. I just said, if they choose to do it, they should accept the consequences. A passanger in the vehicle that witnesses the injustice of texting behind the wheel and doesn't try to deprive the driver of the phone is just as responsible. It's the same fact as drunk driving. If persons (non-drunk) decide to get in vehicle with persons (drunk) that is driving, that person should be well aware of the consequences.. and it doesnt always end in tragedy...
This doesn't include the same rules that apply to those 11 and under, because they kind of can't grasp the concept as well..but that isnt going to stop people from doing it.
Take Shain Gandee, just died from drunk driving, of course he knew the consequences, because he stated them on the show..but sometimes.. that isnt enough to change a persons mind. And we just have to accept that. Sorry the world can't be kind to us.
