Vegetable, more then a food. (Life support)

Talk about serious issues here!

Do you think people in a Vege-tated state / coma should try to be kept alive?

Vegetable, more then a food. (Life support)

So, I'm mainly for one side of this argument and you will most likely see which side that is just by reading a little bit.

When people get seriously injured and end up brain dead ( a vegetable), most families put that family member on life support (if they can afford it). They obviously do this because they love that family member, yada, yada. But is it really worth it to even think about putting them on life support? And even if not brain dead, for instance, people in coma's. Yes they are more alive then brain dead people are, but there is still a very small chance they will even wake up, and even if they wake up, will they have mental issues(?), etc. To me atleast, those people seem like a waste of space in a hospital. I read a study before that for every month a person is in a coma, the chance of them waking up goes down by about 4%-7%. It seems like a pretty big gamble to spend all that money just to have 1 person MAYBE wake up.

For the Vegetable people, my opnion: They should all be let to die.
For the coma people: If you have enough money, sure you should try. If you might barely have enough to pay for it, I'd let them die.

only if there is some hope for a return to a quality life. If there is no hope, then I personally would not want to be kept alive.
