well we all know it happens, peeps taking performance enhancing drugs and whatnot. But what happened in badminton yesterday is a first - the players from China, Korea and Indonesia were trying to LOSE their games.
I think any form of cheating is stupid and ruins the sport... but losing on purpose is even worse. It makes the whole game look stupid and there is no point watching anything anymore. I hope the now disqualified peeps from badminton have learnt their lesson and others pay heed to what has happened...
your thoughts? Should the players have been kicked out or not?

Absolutely.
If you are trying to lose, i don't see how you are taking part in the games...

Re: Cheating in the olympics
on a personal note, if cheaters of this kind are caught, I would recommend a public beating and a banning from the sport for life. At least performance enhancing drug takers are trying to excel at something. These guys are literally losers and dont deserve to be at a great sporting event like the olympics.

I've lost my pieces.
Re: Cheating in the olympics
now I see one of the Chinese cheaters is feeling really hurt for being disqualified for cheating. So she is going to quit the game to punish the world for not allowing her to cheat. How sad...

I say no, this is because the point is winning, but they lost and that would not do any harm like a strategy..........If they are mad about this do Win or Lose and losing = elimination
