So a teacher at my school gave me some pinned bugs and they're really neat and i want to share them. also general entomology thread

here's the whole collection


here's a wasp, kind of scary ik

a pretty one! it's called nymphalidae :^)


the camera kind of focused on my hand here but this is an antlion


now this ain't the prettiest lil beetle but it eats maggots so if you hate flies do not kill these!


this fly is in the sarcophagidae family. that means it feeds on corpses.


...yeah.


according to the chart i was given this is a ten-lined scarab beetle. it's pretty!

i plan on it, they're really cool but these ones were a gift. i don't like hurting bugs but pinning seems like a cool hobby
