Facts will be nerdy, completely useless, and hopefully entertaining.
Day 1: Did you know pirates wore eyepatches not just to cover their gaping eye-hole, but to also be able to see in the dark? They would flip up the patch while in the hold of their ship and have instant night vision when going to hide or access their booty!
I knew that already. You watch Mythbusters, don't you. *suspicious look*
that was dramatic. still ready 2 die tho!

Re: mmm's Fun Fact of Whenever I Feel Like It!
It's post number 100! And I have come across so many awesome factoids that I can hardly contain myself. Here's a few that are easily accessible.
The atoms that make up your body and the computer in front of you are 99.9999999999999% empty space.
The number of bacteria cells in our body outnumber the amount of "your" body cells 10 to 1, and weigh about 3 or 5 pounds.

This is a wildlife bridge. It provides animals a safe way to cross roadways, and also allows interbreeding and migration among populations of animals that may otherwise have been isolated.
"In the 24 hours since this time yesterday, over 200,000 acres of rainforest have been destroyed in our world. Fully 13 million tons of toxic chemicals have been released into our environment. Over 45,000 people have died of starvation, 38,000 of them children. And more than 130 plant or animal species have been driven to extinction by the actions of humans."
-Thomm Hartmann

Lenticular clouds! Here's some more.

The sailing stones! These rocks are found in Racetrack Playa, where theories still abound as to how the rocks move. They baffle scientists, moving in seemingly random directions and even uphill. One leading theory is that an abundance of slippery bacteria combined with winds is what's responsible.
