Most artists don't usually make songs during Tour. aaand, she's kinda taking a break from the Fame World. The only thing she's really doing in public, is performances, not taking any interviews or anything.
And Lukia, if your gonna get technical with the performing with Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga has been successfully performing at parks, clubbs, resturants, parades, ect since she was 13. She's 27 now. Sooo, Lady Gaga has been performing and singing for 14 years.

Lukia, you clearly don't know Lady Gaga. She's more famous that Nicki Minaj will ever be.
Lady Gaga also does get inspiration from life. Lady Gaga can sing AND DANCE at the same time, while Minaj can't. Not one Rap Song Minaj has wrote, where all the lyrics synch together to actually talk about the point. She'll add crazy stuff that doens't relate, why lady gaga's music is all together, like a story.
Lady Gaga makes more money that Minaj. She makes average, 90 million a year. I'm sure Minaj makes less. Gaga has written more successful songs, more awards, a total of 222, nominated for 337, while Minaj has won 29, Nominated for 37.
Gaga's fashion style actually make sense. She has explained all of her fashion for what they stand for. Most meanings actually make sense, and are interesting. I've seen some of Minaj's interviews about her fashion, and she has said she just felt like putting it on.
Plus, Gaga is loved by a lot of famous people, such as Miley Cyrus, Beyonce, Rihanna, Madonna(used to, now she doesn't) Perez Hilton, Elton John, Cher, and Kiss. Kiss even stated in an interview that Lady Gaga knew how to perform, and that they'd take Gaga over Madonna anyday. Usher has stated that he thinks lady gaga's voice is "incredible" and that "Not many artists can do, what she does". Usher also stated that Lady Gaga knows how to work with smaller, and bigger settings, and that she has incredible Talent. Though, he doubts if Lady Gaga can keep her fashion stuff together, wondering if she'll ever show a different side in her.
There are a lot of Celebrities that don't like Minaj's music, because most is inappropriate. The only bad Songs Lady Gaga ever wrote that were extremely inappropriate to children obviously, were Paper Gansta(Rap song, and was never popular on Radio) LoveGame, and maybe Bad romance.
Also, Minaj has had a tougher life than Gaga. Minaj's dad abused drugs, and had beaten his mother, and scared Minaj to the point where she actually wanted to kill her dad. Though, Gaga has faced extremely bullying at school, and obvious hate from peers for her performances, it's not as close as to what Minaj endured.
You would think Minaj would actually write good lyircs about her life, since she's been through a lot. But, Gaga's lyrics are better.
The only thing i would say Minaj is better than Gaga at, is rapping. Gaga has attempted to do rap songs, though they were average. She dind't try to succeed in rapping, like she's done with other genres of music, like Jazz with Tony Bennet, and a bit country/rock with You and I, Highway Unicorn(Road to Love) Teeth, Wonderful(more of slow rock love song) and some others.
Lady Gaga obviously has better vocals than Minaj. Lady Gaga is the only current artist today who has made continuous acoustic versions of her music, and made more versions of the acoustic version. Minaj may be a rapper, but rapping isn't much talent. Lady Gaga can rap too. She's made Rap music. Gaga was originally planned to be a Rapper by Def Jam, but they wanted her to use auto tune, and she refused, leaving to work with Space Cowboy, another DJ. Gaga has also done a Jazz collaboration with Tony Bennett, a full on country collaboration with Sugarland, and a nice sad pop duet with Elton John.
Lady Gaga has also inspired and influenced the whole modern Pop Culture. Ever since she came out with her big hits and huge crazy performances of Poker Face, Just Dance, Starstruck, and Paparazzi, artists today, Especially Nicki Minaj and Katy Perry have all of a sudden been doing crazy performances, going out with the fashion and all.
Also, to add with your technical comment (adding to mine) Lady Gaga's been playing music at age 4 with the piano, and wrote ballads at age 11. She's been wrtting music for 16 years, perfomring for 14, and writting her own songs for around 9-12. years. Lady Gaga's got more experience.

No artist nowadays is unique - especially Lady Gaga, certainly Nicki Minaj. Even Madonna, who Lady Gaga based her whole act on, was in turn influenced. There are hundreds of famous artists who regularly release acoustic versions, can sing and dance at the same time (it's no real feat) and have had a "tough life" so can write lyrics. It's unfortunate, but true.

Then, after 6-7 years people gets bored of them, so they suddenly find some "new awesome talent" and they get on the front for 6-7 years again, while the last one vanishes.
Eg, tell me, how long do you expect Nicki Minaj to stay under the spotlight? And you must agree, her being famous doesn't exactly help with pop music's reputation...

and, Shadow. about the not handling the live performances, I think Lady Gaga can handle that. All of her tours consumed most of her career time. And when she was on tour, she did around 1-3 hours performances about 3-5 times a week, doing this for about 4-8 months i think. She can handle it XD So she won't leave because of that. I do agree with you, for the 99% aritsts drop become they can't keep up with the performances. Pokerface was huge everywhere - number 1 in most countries - but then her latest single Marry The Night hasn't hit the top 10 in any country. You can't deny her popularity is fading.
(And on this note I'd like to point out that Katy Perry, who went to number 1 with I Kissed A Girl in most countries, is STILL scoring number 1s today with her latest singles - 4 years on. She's been recording for 13 years, and playing in front of an audience since she was 9. Of all the artist who are going to be sticking around I'd be vouching for Perry.)
