Tinker's Construct

Jurassicraft
Applied Energistics 2
Better Storage OR Iron Chest (not both)
Hats
Forge Microblocks
Carpenter's Blocks
JABBA
MachineMuse's Modular Powersuits
Nether Ores
MekanismGenerators

Maybe:
Pam's Harvestcraft
Iguana's Tinker Tweaks OR MekanismTools (one of these will go in, not sure which)
Chisel
Advanced Genetics

I'm putting up a poll for the first maybe mod. Anything you think shouldn't be on? Should be moved to maybe? Any mods you have in mind to be added? Any questions?

Don't forget to ask the mod creators for permission ^_^ Otherwise you're scumbags.
Also are you absolutely sure you want to create a modpack on your own? On top of the already existing issues with modpacks, known incompatibilities or bugs that you'll have to ban in order to prevent from happened. You personally have to go through config settings to ensure that mods don't conflict with each other in any way. You also have the issue of distributing the modpacks. You either have everyone install mods themselves or you give them a download link which if you do pursue this method then you should be asking for permission to use these mods in modpacks otherwise you're scumbags.

I completely expected you to do this--We're not distributing it for a profit (since we're not asking for any donations or anything) so I don't see an issue. I'll try to contact as many mod makers as I can.

It doesn't matter if you're making a profit or not off of it.
The issue is when you distribute modpacks as modpacks the mod creators no longer get money from the adfly advertisements. These very adfly advertisements where they make money to support their development.

I down for those mod packs, they wouldn't interfere with the FPS of the server though? I know multiple plug-ins on a server can make it slower, but I don't know if mod packs would do the same; since more content, more lag.

FPS is a client side thing, meaning some FWG users may see FPS drops while others won't, depends on how powerful your computer is.
There could be potential lag issues serverside with not enough RAM. At minimum the server would need 1GB of RAM, fairly cheap, should be alright assuming they don't go overboard with the mods.

We're not planning on adding absolutely massively load-heavy mods like Thaumcraft to the pack so framerate issues should not factor hugely into running the pack.

Bump

Have there been any updates regarding if we can put all the mods into a mod pack and use them on the server?

We will be considering making a modpack for technic launcher or taking another one and popping it on the server, more will happen when Joey gets motivated

Use FTB.
Technic Launcher is notorious for refusing to ask for permission from mod developers to use their mods in modpacks.
Besides, FTB is quite a bit better.

As much as it may disappoint you and many others the FTB launcher

A: Is dying and B: has a UI which a few find more difficult to learn

a small issue like what you've said is of no concern as there is no profit for the fwg community nor those who made the modpack.
