So the kiwi in New Zealand is flightless, right. But did you know that it has the largest eggs in relation to body size of any bird? An egg can be weigh to 20% of the mother's weight.

Cicada wings are the ultimate natural anti-microbial surface. It has nano-sized spikes that stretch bacterial membranes to the point that they break.

https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/544109_562137777140571_572534240_n.jpginb4 eeeeeeek Two words. Cordyceps. Fungus. This fungi isn't so fun for the unfortunate arthropods it infects: it literally replaces the tissue of its host with its own. Some species even take control of the host's brain and move it to a place more suitable for fungal growth. I don't know about you guys, but I'm wondering why there isn't a supervillain named Cordycep already.

This is no accident. That bird, a (Great Grey/Northern) shrike, impales its food on twigs, thorns, or even barbed wire so it can eat it, as its small beak and claws are not suited for tearing apart prey. This also allows it to eat food other animals cannot: for example, a toxic grasshopper becomes edible after a few days on the twig. And that's not all! These guys generally have a preferred impaling spot, and build up a sweet cache of dead things that serves the additional purpose of attracting females.

Shrikes trully are a smart bird, the same comes for Butcher birds the counterpart to the shrike, butcher birds are Australia's version of the shrike and impale their prey on twigs and spikes, it truly shows that not all animals are circus performing dopes, some actually have the brain capacity for problem solving

I believe that butcher bird is the common name for the shrike, but I totally agree that animals are smart. Crows, for example, have exhibited "meta-tooling," which is the use of a tool to affect another tool. In one experiment, a crow is put in a box with a stick too short to reach food, but long enough to reach a longer stick capable of obtaining the food. The success rate is high and comparable to primates.

According to the dictionary Frook means: The contraction of the phrase "French hook," which describes an extreme leftward bend in the human penis. (Also called "freedom hook" in certain parts of the United States.)
