If you read star wars comics bobba fett never died before the monster thing could digest him he flew out the big wierd monster hole thing when the battle was over and had a family. True story.

The death wasn't permanent in the movie but he did, in fact, die.

Norman is the saddest death in them all, the way I played it. I think I cried...Heavy Rain is the best game I've played in a long time.

Directors of the movie confirmed he died. Generally being turned in to something that isn't living (i.e. stone) then you are considered dead.
