What if we had a short story (7,500 words or less) contest for halloween?
All stories would be checked to ensure no plagiarism, and there would be a few rules to ensure peeps don't go overboard (no Nudity, swearing, ect.)
Afterwards the stories could be voted on, and prizes awarded. There could even be different sections such as most original, creative that kind of thing.

Even if it didnt go for halloween, it could be generic.

I barely like writing 800 word essays, let alone a 7,500 word short story...

I vote for a shorter limit and then I'll agree.

XD I just suggested a max, I didnt make it the minimum, I didn't think it would be wonderful if alot of people submitted entire novels. XD as long as its your idea I dont think it really matters how long it is, I've read incredibly short stories that have been wonderful and I doubt they were nearly that long.
