I'm not sure if this was suggested before but I couldn't find anything like this so here it goes.

If possible, a Upvote/Downvote system would be nice to have in the forums. Upvotes could be used as a way to show that you liked/support a certain comment/topic/post. While downvotes could show that maybe you don't agree with the said comment/topic/post. And of course with enough downvotes the post could be not shown unless you click the button to show said post. Sort of like how YouTube comment like/dislike system works.

The facebook like is just showing you like it on Facebook, not on the FWG channell.

There's other forums that do an up-vote system, but they just have the like button to show you agree with them, but there is no down-vote. Similar reason to why Facebook has no down-vote.

I think it's a nice idea.

I remember that this was thrown around a while before this thread, in the form of "Karma". It is actually something that could be added with the phpbb forum, and I think it would be great, as it would be a way to show appreciation of a post without just a 1-2 word reply or something. Just to say, "Wow this post made me laugh or proved a good point" without making an entirely different post for it. It would actually show your karma on your profile, too, with a green number (positive) or red (negative). So say you get three pluses and a minus, and your karma on that particular reply would be a 2. Get it?
