I think having a little 'bong' sound every time someone sends a message on chat. This would be great as you could have different tabs and not constantly check back.
This sound should be mutable of course.

I dont use sound on a computer. Rarely ever. So It would not matter at all to me.

this is gonna be soooo immature but also it makes a point. LMAFOROFLOLBBQFTWLSHMSFOAIDMT @ the subject. but in all seriousness really? -.- just to me that seems like it would attract the wrong sets of eyes
