I'm not going to step in here and pretend that I know everything about RP, as I'm not terribly experienced, however I know enough to say this.

Lukia, the way you say, everyone's powers overlap. Just because someone has pancakes doesn't mean they have power of delicious, or syrup, or anything RELATED to that.

Same with your space issue - you have space. not the planets in it, therefore not gravity. You'd probably have the sub-powers of vacuum (as that is space) and antimatter (as you wanted it and that makes up space).

I could have the power of air - but that doesn't mean I have power of you because you breathe it.

Nah,for the simple reason that things can exist in space. If space was the absence of matter, nothing would exist there.
And btw,anything concerning gravity and antimatter may NOT be used by others. Its not possible to just "have to use them", as they are close to no other power at all. No power is even close to the powers of antimatter and gravity,and that's why it's impossible to have any of them.
